The Famous Bear Wrangler

Grandma E's house is full of brown bears; some small and cuddly, and some very big.
Finally, grandma has someone to wrestle them into shape!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words...

...some times, quite literally.

I saw this picture on a friend's Facebook wall, and it was in her brother's albums, so I'll credit the photo to Russel M. I really don't know who took it or where it came from, but I like it!

Real people do exist

In a day where the people we pass in the store don't acknowledge our presence, let alone smile, its refreshing to see a selfless person.

On our second flight, just 2 rows up from us, sat a woman who had never flown before. She was so nervous she accidentally knocked ker drink over, and the liquid flew acrss the aisle, splattering on other travelers.

The flight attendants we so nice and tried to comfort the woman while cleaning up the mess and assuring her it was no big deal.

Then another lady, right in front of us asked the nervous first-timer what was wrong and upon finding out she was scared, promptly got up and went to sit with her. This angel continued to talk to the women for the duration of the flight.

We see people stranded, physically, emotionally, and spiritually every day. How often do we give up 45 minutes of 'our' time to help a fellow traveler on their way?

Trains!

Waiting to board our plane in Dallas. Lil Man spotted a small table with toys on it. He ended up playing with another little kid and they had fun together.

Tomorrow!

The excitement has been building all week. All three of us are excited.

I made the mistake of telling Lil Man too early. I figured he wouldn't remember much about his extended family in Kentucky, but I was wrong. He remembers everyone. He told me about the toys he has at grandma's house.

...and, he's asked every ten minutes for the past three days ''We go to 'tucky now Mama?'' or ''We got to hairport, ride hairplane now?'' and yes, he calls airplanes hairplanes.

How do 2 year olds remember this stuff?

While I hope the Lil Man sleeps till at least 7am I must admit, I can't wait to answer his excited questions in the morning with the word he's been dying to hear...

YES!
