we have just been introduced a sweet new couple, Chitto and Serena. He is a watch repair student, and she is a teacher in the local junior college’s jewelry program…

After chatting with Serena about her jewelry, I suggested she check out Etsy. She signed up and now has some beautiful pieces listed! Check out Omori Designs on Etsy.

Serena also has a blog (she just started blogging… Yay for Serena!) and a flickr account with more pictures of her work! I love her wedding bands!!!

I just came across a link to Petitie Sophisticate on a blog I enjoy reading. It’s full of beautiful, modest clothing! I was really excited to see that a lot of their sale and clearance items were very reasonably priced! Yay! Another good place to shop for clothes!

I just had to pass on the good news!

It feels like 11pm. Why? I can’t figure it out. I shouldn’t be this tired. Ya know how you get so sleepy your eyes burn like you’ve been crying for 2 hours? I’m that kind of sleepy.

We had a grand time last night! 4 couples, us included. We feasted on burgers and hot dogs and visited. We were having such a good visit that we lost track of time and didn’t realize it was almost time for the concert to begin and we were still sitting at the table! One of us happened to see a clock and alerted the rest of the group. Turns out half the group went to a local school to hear another friend sing in some fundraiser, and the rest of us headed to the concert. One of the other couples joined us after the school concert. We sat around and listened to music, and talked between songs. After the concert Ryan and I thought we’d stop at Braums for ice cream. When we walked in, one of the couples, Chitto and Sereana were there with Kevin, a friend they’d met up with at the concert. lol So, we all sat together and visited some more. I think Chris and Missy ended up going to see a movie and Paul and Gaby went home after the concert.

Gabriel did good at Grandpa and Grandmas. I think he would have stayed all day today if we hadn’t litteraly picked him up and carried him to the car. lol Uncle Joel was home and Gabe wanted to play with him and his dog, Zip. lol Gabe and Joel played the piano together this morning and I wish I’d had a video camera with me! It was too cute. If Joel quit playing Gabe would say “No, no!” and pick up Joels hands and put them back on the keys. haha Gabriel also clapped for himself between “songs.”

We’re having a bad storm out there. Lots of lightening and thunder. I heard it hit something behind the house a while ago… seems to have moved off a bit now. We got a little rain, but not much. Just enough to put waterspots all over my nice clean Durango…

A big hurray for me… I have  atan this summer! It’s been years since I’ve been this tan. I’m not real dark yet, but compared to the areas of my body that have not seen the light… WHOA! lol
